Amanda White

Project Architect

 

Amanda White uses her experience as a previous Stanford Biodesign Innovation Fellow to identify unmet needs to uncover insights for innovation. She is partnering with Josh and Eb to build a new med tech company from the ground up.

Amanda was employee number five at ExploraMed’s most recent company, Revelle Aesthetics. As Revelle’s Director of Clinical Engineering, she led procedure development, new product strategy, and clinical training for providers and sales reps. Revelle was acquired by Tiger Aesthetics in 2024.

Amanda started her career at Edwards Lifesciences developing transcatherter delivery systems for structural heart technologies including Centera and Pascal. Amanda received a BSE in Biomedical Engineering and a BS in economics from Duke University.

 
 
 

Pablo Acosta

R&D Engineer

 

 Pablo Acosta has deep experience in medical device research and development, with a focus on early-stage product development in start-up companies. Interest include cycling, hiking, photography, and building and flying drones.

Randi Melo

Executive Assistant and office manager

 

Randi Melo has been in Administration for over 25 years. 

Prior to ExploraMed, she was with Comcast, Plaxo, Inc. and VeriSign, Inc. 

She is a native of the Bay Area, and studied at De Anza College and San Jose State University.  When she is not working, she is shoe shopping. 

 
 
 
 

John Hanley

Vice President and associate General counsel

 

John Hanley, J.D./M.B.A, has been a partner with an AmLaw 100, an intellectual property boutique law firm, where he was director of intellectual property roles and head of IP litigation teams. He has prosecuted, litigated and licensed patents, trademarks and copyrights throughout the world for entities ranging from start-up enterprises to Fortune 500 companies, and has an extensive background in mechanical and electronic devices, chemical arts, data processing, authentication systems and methods, networks, automated ordering systems, computer software, business methods, and control systems. John has represented entities in the medical device, software, electronics, materials science, and mechanical disciplines in all aspects of protecting valuable intellectual property. 

 
 

Prior to practicing as an attorney, he was a design and manufacturing engineer and worked in project management for Beckman Instruments, a manufacturer of biomedical laboratory instruments. John has been recommended by Chambers USA as one of “America's Leading Business Lawyers, Intellectual Property: Patent (California),” recognized by the Daily Journal as a "Top 25 Intellectual Property Portfolio Manager and Patent Prosecutor," named among the top 40 "Angelenos to Know in Intellectual Property Law" by the Los Angeles Business Journal, and identified as a Leading IP Practitioner by Intellectual Asset Management.  He has a bachelor of science degree in applied mechanics and engineering sciences, a master’s degree in business administration, and a juris doctor degree.
