Project Architects
 

ExploraMed is now searching for another Project Architect to help create our next medical device business. 

At ExploraMed, the Project Architect pairs up with our experienced team and together we create a new company by identifying important clinical needs and inventing novel solutions. We then translate those solutions into a powerful and important new business capable of delivering an improved quality of life for patients.  In our model, the Project Architect is the chief person charged with defining and developing the opportunity which becomes the next company.  Typically the Project Architect assumes the full time role of VP of R&D and stays with the new company through a liquidity event or beyond. Subject to relevant experience and qualifications, the Project Architect may also assume Director, CEO or CTO roles in the new company.

A successful candidate will have accomplished all of the following prior to assuming the role of Project Architect:

Demonstrated creativity and innovativeness through the creation of inventions and patents in the field of medical devices, ideally having evidence that those ideas/inventions were successfully implemented clinically and commercially;

Has lead a product development team at the equivalent of manager level or above from concept through to commercialization at least once in the field of medical devices;

Has full working knowledge of quality, regulatory and clinical systems and is capable of creating those systems de novo at the start-up level;

Has established good long term relationships with physicians, fellow employees, mentors and supervisors, and has developed a good and ethical reputation amongst his/her colleagues as a ‘can-do’ self starter capable of leading others to overcome significant challenges.
